…and why I’m obsessed with it!

Like most of you last year, with a quarantine upon us, I picked up a new hobby to occupy my time with. And who doesn’t want to know more about astrology, c’mon?
It started with The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need by Joanna Martine Woolfolk, my beginners guide as I realized I didn’t know much at all but wanted to be oriented with the stars.
While I encourage reading more about astrology for your personal enjoyment, the essentials for you to know are your Sun sign, Moon sign, and your Rising sign.
You can use this book to figure it out, otherwise there’s lots of websites that’ll do the work for you. Once you know, the fun part comes with reading about how you fit into astrology.
What’s your sign?
You may (or may not) have guessed it but here’s what I’m cooking with —
- Aries Sun
- Aries Moon
- Sagittarius Rising
I used the TimePassages app to figure out my chart and planets, half of which still doesn’t make sense to me but I like a slow burn learning experience.
As planets shift throughout the year and take different positions in the sky, power shifts for you as well! For example, Mercury Retrograde will impact us differently than Aquarius season.
Sounds like gibberish? Then do your reading, son!
The tea on horoscopes
Once you’ve got yourself and your signs figured out, there’s more fun to be had with reading your horoscope.
My favorite horoscope/astrology apps are Daily Horoscope and Co-Star, I check them both every day and they are fabulous.
Daily Horoscope hits that classic, day by day horoscope vibe that we all need. Easy to read, quick blurbs about where your day might be headed or where your mind’s at.
Whereas, Co-Star brings it to a new level. Lists of Do’s and Dont’s, how astrology is impacting your routine, spirituality, social life, relationships, and self.
Co-Star brings you deeper into your chart, your Houses, and Signs. Doesn’t make sense now? Download the app and check it out!
Did I mention you can connect with friends on Co-Star? Find your friends and round up how the stars impact your relationships.
So what’s your sign? What planet rules you? Let me know!
