WOMAN OF CULTURE
On a lovely fall day, I was walking the local park and listening to a podcast when I heard what would become my epiphany moment. Sophia Bush was interviewing Luvvie Ajayi Jones and asking about her rising success, which had started with her blog, and she said the sentiment that changed her life was –
If you write then you’re a writer.
There’s a certain stigma I had held that my writing doesn’t count if I’ve never been published or if no one knows my name. That only authors of certain notoriety should matter and until I got to that point, I wasn’t a real writer. It was at that moment, I wasn’t sure how exactly I would use my writing but I knew that I needed to embrace that part of my life rather than shy away from it. So Luvvie, this one’s for you.
I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to figure out your life’s purpose right now, just your next move.
I had written a couple of blogs previously with a sole readership of my mother and grandma, featuring the random stories of my study abroad year and later, some college rantings but it never seemed legitimate.
However, there was still another part of me that I wasn’t acknowledging…

I’m obsessed with personal development.
Ah yes, now we have a pure magic cocktail of writing passion and the pursuit of personal development!
If there is anything you can count on, it’s that there is no stopping me once I’ve started on a motivational tangent. I sincerely just want everyone to live their best lives (and that sometimes might feel like a threat or a promise from me, but hey, whatever gets you on track)!
Don’t ask me about these unless you have an hour to kill:
- Motivation
- Accountability
- Mindset
- Routines
- And lots more!
Therefore, Woman Of Culture was born to give you all the tools and strategies (that I’ve been obsessed with forever) so you can crush all your goals. Whether it’s a smaller goal or a huge dream, there isn’t anything you can’t do when you put your mind to it.
I hope that one day my words can reach millions of readers and there will be a personal development revolution – is that too much to ask?
Welcome to my humble corner of the web and I hope you stay a while!
