Whether you’ve been making vision boards in the past or not, having your goals aligning physically so you can see them is the ultimate tea.
A vision board doesn’t have to just be statements of “I will be a billionaire”, etc. vision boards can be full of words, images, and phrases that you enjoy or inspire you. They can be actual goals you have and hope to achieve or just reminders of the type of person you want to be this year. So, get your crafting pants on, and let’s get to work!
This post is all about vision board ideas.
You’re probably thinking to yourself –
Okay I journal, I write monthly goals, I write manifestations AND affirmations… what more could I possibly need to do?!
And while all those habits are great by themselves, they also work well together and help you ensure you’re working towards your dreams (because you know what your dreams are).
But vision boards too?
The answer is YES. Let’s get into it!
You might be asking yourself what the heck is a vision board?
And let me welcome you to my corner of the internet where we dive into all things goal-oriented.
As I mentioned before, vision boards are physical reminders that you can look at every day so you have a constant reminder of what you’re working towards.
Whether you arrange the vision board in a random manner or organized fashion is completely up to you.
You could opt for a mood board and go with a color scheme or add whatever images/colors you want.
Whatever you choose to do, the vision board is just the physical manifestation of what you’re aiming for this year.
Vision Board Ideas
First, let’s start with breaking it into some TEXT and some VISUALS.
As I mentioned before, you could go for a theme or mood for this board, or you could just add whatever you please.
There’s no right or wrong – add whatever you find motivating or inspirational.
To be most helpful, I’ve got some ideas for text and visuals that you can use below!
You could do handwritten post-it notes or type with different fonts and print them out, text from magazines, etc.
Here’s a couple of things to think about: what are…
- Your big, overarching goals for 2022?
- Some personal life goals you have?
- Emotions you want to feel more?
- Some reminders of what you want to embrace more this year?
Your vision board could include detailed manifestations or just simple words to remind you to be grateful or happy.
Trust me, you’re making this board for you so don’t worry about putting up a front.
Be honest and vulnerable, and don’t lie to yourself.
If it’s something you want and a daily reminder will help you get there, put it on the board!
And they don’t have to be ultra-vague, big-level goals – you could incorporate some SMART goals into your vision board as well.

Now, this is where you have the most freedom!
Some great images ideas for your board could be:
- Pictures of people you want to prioritize more in your life this year.
- Images of the places you want to visit or the life you want to live.
- Cut outs from magazines that remind you of little habits you want to embrace.
Using images can encapsulate ideas that are harder to put into words which makes them great for vision boards!
It can capture a feeling that you want to strive for without having to write it all out.
