When it comes to overcoming obstacles in our life, it usually boils down to this one huge secret: you are your own biggest roadblock.

Unfortunately, one of the hardest parts of overcoming obstacles in life means acknowledging that you are usually your own biggest roadblock. There can definitely be outside factors working against you, however, if you don’t change your mindset to fight them then you’ll always be the victim.
If you’re willing to recognize how your mindset feeds your actions (or lack of actions) then this blog post can definitely help you.
The importance of overcoming obstacles in life is that you’ll finally get to live the life of your dreams. And if you’re ready to start putting in the work then let’s dive in.
This post is all about overcoming obstacles in life.
Overcoming Obstacles In Life
Does it feel like there are challenges upon challenges when it comes to working on your goals? Like the roadblocks are seemingly endless so you’re constantly pushing it off?
I get it and trust me, it may feel like there’s no right time. And it’s hard to motivate yourself to do extra work on top of the mandatory work you’ve been doing all day.
Sometimes it can feel like there’s just no rest and you begin to doubt whether it’s worth it.
Ultimately, you have to be the one to decide what your priorities are and how legitimately you want to achieve your dreams. Because at the end of the day, you’ll be the only one who can make them come true.
If you’re ready to commit and you’ve decided that no challenge is too difficult to champion, then keep reading!
How do you overcome obstacles in achieving goals?
First, it’s acknowledging that there are obstacles and identifying what they are.
And more often than not, the biggest challenge is admitting this is the right time. And how can you really know if this is the right time? After all, up until now, you’ve been pushing it off because it’s always been the wrong time.
(or working on it without any real commitment, which is okay, however, it won’t get you anywhere fast)
So the first step is deciding that now is the right time.
The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago, the second best time is now.

Once you’ve decided to start, the next excuses might be 1) not having time in a day or 2) knowing where to start/how to keep going.
For finding time in the day, you might have to do some clever planning and scheduling but there’s an age-old saying that “if it’s important to you then you make time”.
Yes, it’s easier said than done but if this is really important to you then you should be able to find a spare 10 minutes somewhere (and that’s all it takes!).
After adopting this attitude, you might find some spare time to devote to your goals (all of the sudden **wink wink). The next obstacle you might face is not knowing where to start and for that, I have three words—
Use your resources. Seriously, the internet has everything and if you don’t find an answer on Google or Youtube then you’re not looking hard enough.
Trust your intuition, search online for what you don’t know, and don’t make excuses. The answers can be found if you’re willing to look hard enough for them. Think of it like there are more roads than roadblocks, there are multiple solutions to single problems.
Next thing on the docket, let’s get that mindset in check.
I can overcome all the challenges in life because…
Starting with a mantra might be exactly what you need to convince yourself you can do it. While motivation doesn’t last (and that’s why we need consistency), a burst of motivation definitely helps when you’re running on low energy.
I personally love to turn to IG accounts of my favorite successful women or podcasts and then using that inspiration to fuel my positive affirmations.

Two affirmations I like to repeat to myself are:
I will not hesitate, I will just do what I need to do.
As a reminder that the best time to start is NOW. You could make excuses forever if you wanted to which is why it’s the most important obstacle to overcome.
Hesitation and inaction don’t serve you, overthinking and endless planning don’t serve you, and procrastination doesn’t serve you.
This is what you can remind yourself of whenever you are feeling too tired or too uninspired to work toward your goals.
I’m focusing on the step in front of me, not the whole staircase.
Whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed about how much work there is to do or how far you have to go, focus on one step.
How to overcome challenges in life starts with making the challenges manageable. If you can break it down and allow yourself to focus on one thing at a time, you’ll be amazed at how easy completing each thing can be.
Don’t let the sheer size of your dreams trip you up— don’t focus on the years ahead of you, focus on the day.

And remember, you got this. You can make it happen because there is nothing stopping you if your heart is set on it.
Sincerely, overcoming obstacles is as simple as overcoming your mindset. That’s not to say it’s easy but it is possible and you can do this.
